Annual Bob Novack Music Awards Presented To Students June 5, 2025
1308 Productions congratulates Justin Y. Lee and Sungkamee Tanyatorn on their talent as student musicians and as the recipients of the 2025 “Bob Novack Music Awards” at RKBBH K-8 Center in Bay Harbor, Florida. This is the 28th consecutive year that the Bob Novack Awards have been presented to faculty-selected outstanding music students.
1308 Productions, a non-profit organization that support music education, was created with inspiration from the musical career and life-long service of renowned musician and orchestra leader Bob Novack. The organization was founded in 1997 by his grandchildren, Jason and Allison Novack, who appreciate their musical roots and continue to give back to the community and its local schools.
The Bob Novack Music Awards recognize outstanding music students and promote the importance of music education in schools. We thank legendary music educator Onil Rodriguez for his dedication to music and our area’s youth. Mr. Rodriguez is retiring this year after an awesome career in our public school system. In recognition of Mr. Rodriguez’ long standing service to the school and its community, 1308 Productions presented him with an Award Plaque as a tribute to being a “Music Teacher Extraordinaire” who has earned the eternal appreciation, admiration, and love of the school and the community.
Musician, band leader, and music teacher Bob Novack was one of Florida’s most talented musicians. His music has brought smiles to people’s faces at everything from major public and private events with thousands of attendees, to countless special occasions and cultural, social, and religious celebrations.
JUSTIN Y. LEE: Justin has been one of his school’s top violinists for the last three years. He demonstrates a deep love for music, is a quick learner, and shows tremendous discipline and dedication. Justin has been a great mentor to other student musicians and has been a great credit to the school’s orchestra.
SUNGKAMEE TANYATORN: Sungkamee has been actively engaged in music education throughout his tenure at RKBBH K-8. During his first year, he studied guitar; during his second year, he enrolled in Experiencing Music, and during this last year, he excelled playing the cello in the school’s string program. Sungkamee has been an excellent student and an outstanding mentor for other students.
